Lorient, History of Fortress was the appointment of the 23 and 24 February.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Saturday Bernard and Bernadette have prepared 2 visits for the group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– The Museum of the Compagnie des Indes, inside the Citadel, recalls the fantastic history of the big seaborne trade compagnies of the 17 and 18 centuries and presents mobels, china porcelains, cotton goods from ibdia\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– The Citadel of Port Louis built in the 17eme century for the protection of the area presents an exceptional view point on the isle of Groix, Larmor beach..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Sunday also 2 visits :<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– The submarine Flore S645 type Daphn\u00e9. Built in 1960 it serves the french navy till1989.It is 60 ml long and 6,7 ml large. 50 persons lived on board during 30 days<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The visit in the heart of these boat submerges you in the life of these men.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– The submarine base. It has been built in 1940 by the german for making the protection of the german U Boote submarins ; Lorient was in the heart of the Atlantic Battle. More than 210 submarins went through these base<\/p>\n\n\n\n

17 crews, 35 persons have participed at these sunny weekend, very well organised by Bernard and Bernadette Le Bras. Thank you Bernard and Bernadette.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lorient, Histoire de Forteresses, \u00e9tait notre rendez-vous pour le weekend, organis\u00e9 par Bernard et Bernadette Le Bras, des 23 et 24 F\u00e9vrier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 visites \u00e9taient au programme du samedi :<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Le Mus\u00e9e de la Compagnie des Indes, install\u00e9 au c\u0153ur de la Citadelle, fait revivre l\u2019 histoire des grandes Compagnies Maritimes de Commerce des 17 et 18eme si\u00e8cles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La pr\u00e9sentation des cartes, des porcelaines de Chine, du mobilier indo europ\u00e9en, des cotonnades indiennes, fait r\u00e9sonner les noms des Comptoirs Pondich\u00e9ry, Chandernagor, Canton\u2026..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– La Citadelle de Port Louis construite au 17eme si\u00e8cle pour assurer la protection de la rade offre une vue \u00e0 180\u00b0 sur Groix, la Pointe de G\u00e2vres, Port Louis, Larmor plage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 nouvelles visites \u00e9taient organis\u00e9es le dimanche<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Le sous- marin Flore S645, du type Daphn\u00e9. Construit en 1960 il fut en service jusqu\u2019en 1989. 60 ml de long ,6,8 ml de large pour 50 personnes pendant des missions de 30 jours !. Une visite qui vous plonge dans la vie quotidienne de ces marins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– La Base sous- marine construite par les allemands en 1940 pour prot\u00e9ger ses sous- marins des bombardements anglais. Lorient \u00e9tait au c\u0153ur de la Bataille de l\u2019Atlantique. Plus de 210 U Boote ont transit\u00e9 par les 4 blocs de cette base.
